I am very impressed with the quality of this Silicone Case. It looks like it is part of the phone. It has very good friction, so I no longer worry about my Storm sliding out of my shirt pocket.
The case has zero impact on typing on the touch screen, that’s a very good thing. Many other protectors I looked at reported problems reaching the edge of the screen for typing.
The only possible downside of the case is when I place it in my jeans pocket. (rarely) While sitting it is very hard to retrieve the phone from my pocket before it stops ringing. Like in the car. So, I’ll typically use the leather case if I don’t have a shirt pocket available.
The screen protector is not all that great for me. No biggie I suppose, but it was very difficult to get the edges down smoothly. Might have been my fault, but it was very hard to work with. It is easy to read the screen through the protector, it’s like there is nothing there.
I’ve always had cases for my phones, but I’ve never been as happy with them as I’ve been with this one! When I purchased my Storm, I bought a hard shell case at the Verizon store along with it. It looked good at the store, but once I put it on, it was bulky, looked cheap, and it fell apart when I dropped my phone. Plus, I had to take it apart and clean it out once a week to get all the dust and particles that would get inside out…One day I’m at the mall and saw one of those kiosks selling cases. They had this case and I loved it the minute I saw it. I put it on and couldn’t believe it was sooooo slim. You’d think 2 layers/pieces (silicone inside w/a hard shell over it) would add bulk, but it barely adds anything! I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it, and a lot of people who aren’t with Verizon or familiar with the Storm, think its part of the phone itself. Its that slim. I’ve had it for 5 weeks and I’ve taken it apart twice and haven’t found a single bit of dust inside! It looks fantastic (I have a black one) and really protects well. My husband dropped my Storm from 7 feet and not a single scratch! The case stayed together too. It’s worth the $!!! I would highly recommend this case and would buy other cases from Incipio
At first, I was going to go with the “otterbox” for the Storm, as I liked it when I had my curve, but someone posted on the review that it made the Storm not seem like a new age gadget, and It was true even for the curve really.
After getting this case, the screen protector is totally awesome and covers the screen really well, yet if done right it doesn’t even seem like its on the face of the device. The actual case itself is light weight, and doesn’t add much to the storm, keeping it sleek and sexy looking. At the same time offers a nice hard exterior to take some damage if you are like me and drop your phone =) I really like this case and would totally come back to this company to purchase more cases.
